Shine A Light!

I recently got a free month for Netflix as part of a settlement for a class action lawsuit because I was a member a while back.  Therefore, I have been enjoying some movies that I missed while they were at the show.  One of these movies that I got in the mail today was the Rolling Stones and Martin Scorcese movie, "Shine A Light."  I really like The Rolling Stones and their music, so I really enjoyed this one.  Now, I must say that The Rolling Stones are not getting any younger and they're age really shows, but not in the music.  They still can rock!  I think what was really nice about this movie is that they picked some songs that have not been heard in a while...at least not by me.  In between songs, I really enjoyed watching them at the beginning of their career saying things about where they'd be in the future.  There were also a few guest appearances by Bill and Hillary Clinton, Buddy Guy, Christina Aguilara, and Jack White III.  Overall, I think this concert movie was very well done.  My only complaint is that I would have caught this at the theater!  I give this one five stars! Hitman Is A Killer Hit!

On Saturday, I went with Jeff to see Hitman.  I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.  I thought Timothy Olyphant was awesome in this movie.   Dougray Scott is also in the film, who played the main villian in Mission Impossible 2.  The movie is based on the popular video game and is about a hitman that has a hit put on him while being chased by an Interpol inspector.  This movie is filled with action and highly recommend seeing it.  I give it 5 stars!

The Kingdom Is A Violent Trip To The Middle East!

I saw the movie, The Kingdom last night.  The movie was about some FBI agents that went to Saudi Arabia to investigate a bombing that took the lives of many Americans there.  I think the movie did a good job of illustrating how evil violence can be and how much more can be accomplished when two nations work together to find the perpetrators.   I highly recommend seeing The Kingdom.

Into The Wild Is A Life Journey Into The Wild!

I just saw Into the Wild with Emile Hirsch.  It was a movie about a great adventure that a young man took in Alaska.  Running away from his family, he became a gypsy and enjoyed the wild.  I enjoyed the scenery in the film as well.  The end was surprising and it became evident that it was a true story, which I did not know going into the theater.  This movie is definitely worth seeing!

The Brave One Is A Killer Movie!

I just got back from viewing The Brave One with Jodie Foster and it was very good flick.  The movie kept me wondering what Jodie was going to do next as she walked the streets killing people that messed with her.  There were some slow moments but overall the movie was filled with suspenseful drama that kept me wanting to see what happened next.  I highly recommend this movie and right now there aren't many movies that have come out this month that look good.  The Brave One is in my opinion the movie of the month to  make sure you catch before it leaves theaters.
